Pretty Kitty

Hi Crafters,

I have been making good use of the new Stampin' Up watercolour pencils and I have a brand new card for you today.  The pencils are so easy to use and really blend well with either an Aquapainter or Blender pen.

I recently treated myself to a new stamp set from the annual catalogue - Pretty Kitty.  It's a super cute set featuring lots of kittens in various poses.  I absolutely fell in love with the image I've used on this card.

It's hard to capture but I have actually coloured above the image to represent the sky.  Isn't this just adorable?!

Do you have a favourite set in the annual catalogue or maybe there is one in the Spring/Summer Occasions catalogue that you just can't put down?

Be sure to check back tomorrow for another card featuring another pretty kitty!  As always the full supply list is at the end of the post.

Happy crafting,

Embossed Thank You

Hi Crafters,

I have a double whammy for you today!  A card and matching tag set featuring some new Stampin' Up products.  You can earn the Thank You stamp set or ribbon for free with any order of £45.  However, if you spend £90 you can choose both for free!  The ribbon is super quality and comes in gold and silver.  Perfect for any project.

I started by inking a piece of Shimmery White cardstock in Blushing Bride.  I added the heat embossing in gold by sprinkling the powder all over and heating from underneath.  This takes a little longer to melt but it means the powder doesn't blow off.  Just be careful not to scorch the cardstock by holding the heat tool too close.

Next, I heat embossed the lovely Thank You in gold onto a piece of vellum.  Stampin' Up's vellum is unlike any other vellum!  It is amazing!  Be sure to check it out soon - you won't be disappointed.  I added Tear & Tape to the ribbon to adhere the vellum to my card.  I finished off by using the Bitty Butterfly punch and one of the new gorgeous papers from the Falling in Love Designer Series Paper.

I created the matching tag using the Scalloped Tag punch and added one of the Detailed Dragonfly die cuts in gold foil.  The sentiment came from the That's the Tag photopolymer stamp set and I used the the smallest die from the Bunch of Banners framelits to cut it out.  You can find a full supply list at the bottom of this post.

Mr & Mrs!

Hi Crafters,

I am showcasing how the wonderful Stampin' Up Stitched Framelits can be used with other crafting products you may already have in your stash.  The dies have just come back into stock and they are so versatile.  The set comprises circle, square and oval dies which means you can find a die for every card.

I used the second smallest circle die to cut from a custom background.  I made the background using Pixie Powders from Cosmic Shimmer.  I really does shimmer in real life!  I also added silver gilding wax to the Mr & Mrs die cut.  I love the way it looks on black cardstock.

Buzzing By To Say Hi!

Hi Crafters,

I have a new card for you today which features some of the new items from the Stampin' Up Spring/Summer catalogue.  I love the Dragonfly Dreams bundle and for this card I've used the stamps and dies to create bumblebees!  My inspiration came from the challenge over at the Global Design Project.  It's a colour challenge this week and my free choice colour was black.

I also used the new 3D embossing folder and I absolutely love it!  The texture needs to be seen to be believed!  I inked around my embossed layer with Delightful Dijon using a sponge.  Can you guess how I made the hexagon topper?  I used the lid from the Window Box die set and cut off the extra panels.  You can earn the ribbon for free during Sale-A-Bration simply by spending £45.  A full supply list is shown at the bottom of this post.

Have you made your Spring/Summer wish list yet?  I have managed to purchase a few of my favourites so look out for more projects soon.
