Hi crafters,
It's the first Friday of the month and that means a Global Stamping Friends blog hop. We are a group of international Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who love to share our passion for creativity through our monthly hops. I'm one of the European demos, based in the UK. This month's theme is Rainbow! If you've come from Amanda's wonderful post, you are on the right track. There is also a full list of participants at the end of this post.
I love anything with a rainbow so I was super happy to see this theme on our list. I wanted to make something different and decided on a scrapbook layout. This layout is really simple and I could have done so much more but I wanted the butterflies and the photo to really stand out.
The girls in the photo are my Mam on the right and my Auntie on the left. I have their permission to use the photo.
I started with a sheet of 12" x 12" Basic White cardstock. I cut a strip of the True Love DSP to ground the photo which is matted with Basic Black cardstock. I used the butterfly image from the Floating & Fluttering stamp set and inked this with Stazon. I placed a piece of Rainbow Glimmer Paper which was cut down to 6" x 6" into my Stamparatus to repeat stamp the image rotating each time. The Fluttering Dies were used to cut out the images. I cut the sentiments from Basic White cardstock three times and adhered together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The upper case letters come from the Playful Alphabet Dies and the forever sentiment is from the Sweet Silhouettes Dies. I added a heart from the Resin Heart Embellishments pack to finish off the design.
I hope you are enjoying our Sweets and Treats blog hop. To continue hopping, just click the next arrow below to head to Kimberley's great post. Rachel x
