Thank You

Hi Crafters,

I'm back with another entry for the Global Design Project.  The theme this week is a colour combo challenge.

What a delightful combination and I had so much fun creating my entry.  I didn't have any Watermelon Wonder cardstock so it was a case of improvising!

I used one of the new masks from the Autumn/Winter 2016 catalogue to create the gold embossed strip at the side.  This is actually from the inked stencil in Versamark on Whisper White cardstock and heat embossed in gold.

Next I used Night of Navy cardstock and ran it through the new Pretty Paisleys Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I added gold embossing powder here too.  My topper is simple two die-cut ovals, with the first inked in Watermelon Wonder.  I used stamps from the Cottage Greetings and One Big Meaning sets.

I would like to enter the Global Design Project Challenge #053 - Colour Challenge

Happy crafting,
Rachel

Congrats!

Hello again!

I'm back for the second time today and this time I have a kinetic baby card for you.  This is super easy to make but really has a wow factor.

I started with a piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock cut to 4" by 12" and scored at 2", 4", 8" and 10".  Marking the central point along the long edge with a pencil, I scored from that point to the outermost scoreline, top to bottom, in a diagonal direction to form crosses.  Once the card is folded the centre diamond pops forward to stand up.  The rectangle panels were made using Night of Navy cardstock (3.75" by 1.75") embossed with the Fluttering embossing folder.  I absolutely love this folder!

To create my central topper, I used the Made with Love stamp set and stamped in Night of Navy onto one of the patterned papers in the In Colours 2016-18 paper pad.  The onesie from this stamp set co-orindates with the Baby's First Framelits.  I added a sentiment from Thoughtful Banners and used a flower from the Made with Love stamp set to finish it off.  The label shape was made using the Classic Label punch and both were raised up on Stampin' Dimensionals.

I would like to enter this card into the Global Design Project challenge #052 - Case the Designer (#GDP052)

Welcome!

Hello and welcome to my new blog.  If you've popped over from my previous blog, thank you for sticking with me.  But if you are new to Stampin' Up! you are really in for a treat.  I will be showcasing Stampin' Up! products on this blog and hope to inspire you with my makes.  In order to kick things off, I have made a card using some of my favourites from the Stampin' Up! annual catalogue 2016/17.  There are so many lovely products.  If you would like to see more simply click on the catalogue picture to the right.

I masked off a section of Whisper White cardstock and stamped using Sweet Sugarplum and Night of Navy with the Blooms and Wishes stamp set.  After removing the masking tape, I added three butterflies, using the Bitty Butterfly and Elegant Butterfly punches, in matching cardstock.  I shaped the wings for dimension.  I created the sentiment with the Thoughtful Banners stamp set and Classic Label Punch in the same in colours.  For more information on any of the featured products, simply click on the supply list at the end of this post.  And now for a close-up!

Happy crafting,
