Hopping Around the World Blog Hop - Sale-A-Bration

Welcome to the latest Hopping Around the World Blog Hop featuring Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from all over the globe.  We hope you've had a wonderful festive period and have found some time to get crafty too.  If you are following the hop, you should have arrived here from Rebecca-Jo but don't worry, you can hop from my post all the way around the world!

Our theme for this month is Sale-A-Bration which runs from 3 January 2020 to 31 March 2020.  We will be showing you a selection of products which, when purchased together, will qualify for a free Sale-A-Bration item.  The qualifying spends in the UK are £45 or £90.  You can earn multiple free items with larger orders as there is no limit.  

This card is made from Whisper White cardstock which I covered with a piece of the Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper (free SAB item).  I added a torn piece of Soft Suede cardstock which was embossed with the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder.  I added some White Craft Ink over the top of the embossing to bring it to life.  I stamped three bees, two with Mememto Tuxedo Black ink and one wiht Versamark and heat embossed with Gold Stampin' Powder.  These are from the new bundle called Honey Bee featured in the upcoming Spring/Summer catalogue which launches on 3 January 2020.  Mark your calendars now!  I used Stampin' Dimensionals to give the bees a more 3D look.  I have left this one sentiment free as it was quite busy but will definitely stamp the inside when I decide on a recipient.

Dream Ink Blending with Stampin' Up!

I'm in the ink blending zone at the moment and I have another card featuring my favourite technique.  I used inks, cardstock and dies in this card - no stamping!  I will stamp a greeting on the inside before giving the card.  I usually do this once I decide on a recipient if I haven't made it with a special someone in mind.  

I started with a panel of Whisper White cardstock and added blobs of Bermuda Bay and Melon Mambo ink.  When these colours overlap, a lovely purple is created.  I inked the edges of the panel in Night of Navy ink and then added a bit of Tuxedo Black Memento ink to really capture the halo effect of a galaxy.  I splattered some watered down Craft Ink Refill with a paintbrush.  The Hand-lettered Prose Dies were the perfect addition to the centre and with an alphabet you can chose any word that fits your recipient.  I cut four each of the letters - three in Whisper White and one in Silver Glimmer Paper.  I finished by adhering some stars from the flourish in the Stitched Stars Dies.  I attached the die cuts and panel with Liquid Multipurpose Glue.

Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop - Foil and Glimmer

Hi Crafters,

This is the last Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop of 2019 and our theme is Foil and Glimmer.  Oh the possibilities!  Keep hopping with us for international inspiration featuring Stampin' Up! products.  I love anything sparkly or shiny so this theme was a real treat!

I've made two cards, one featuring Stampin' Up!'s Silver Glimmer Paper and the other showcases our Gold Foil Sheets.  The cards have been made with the same layout and techniques but they look pretty different!  

For the card above I started with a piece of Whisper White cardstock and placed tape along all four sides to create a frame.  I added colour to the centre area with Flirty Flamingo and Smoky Slate inks, blending in the middle.  I removed the tape and stamped my sentiment which is from the So Many Stars stamp set in Silver Delicata metallic ink.  It shows up much better in real life.  I adhered a star flourish die cut in Silver Glimmer Paper and then mounted the panel onto a Smoky Slate card base with liquid glue.  

My second card is a little more stepped up with an embossing folder and some gold pearl embellishments.  I used the same technique with the tape and Daffodil Delight and Old Olive inks.  I embossed the panel using the Country Floral 3D embossing folder.  I used gold foil sheet for the die cut sentiment and stacked this on top of three plain Whisper White die cuts for added dimension.  To finish I adhered three groups of gold pearls in a triangular formation to draw the eye around the sentiment.
