Oh Happy Day!

Hi Crafters,

I was away last week for a family wedding and although the weather was terrible, the wedding was beautiful! I might be a bit biased but I think my 2 year old niece stole the show!

I'm back to the craft room and it's time to celebrate as the Daisy Punch and Delightful Daisy Bundle are available to order!  I would highly recommend the bundle - it's really versatile and you can use the punch separately too.

I have a confession!  I really struggle to use patterned papers in my projects!  I have been trying to use it more often as I have mountains of the stuff!  This is a clean and simple design perfect for beginners.

I have used the Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper in Powder Pink, accented with some washi tape which comes in a set of five in a pink theme.  I cut two daisies using the Daisy Punch in Gold Glimmer Paper and attached with Fast Fuse.  The sentiment comes from the Happiest of Days stamp set and I heat embossed this in gold.

Don't forgot that the Bonus Days promotion ends on Monday 31 July.  This means that for every £45 you spend, you receive a £4.50 coupon towards an order in August.  A great way to save on your wish list.

If you would like to earn an ever bigger discount, why not join my team and become an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.  It is heaps of fun and you can earn free products delivered straight to your door.  If you would like more information on either of these promotions, please see my post giving all the details.

Happy crafting,
Rachel

New Best Friend!

Hi Crafters,

I have a different style of card today using the new Eclectic Layers thinlits which co-ordinates with the Oh So Eclectic stamp set.  The projects below feature in the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue.

The thinlits are slightly different to the normal dies offered by Stampin' Up! - some cut and some emboss.  This allows for extra texture and interest in any project.  My card blank is made from Whisper White cardstock and measures 4.25" x 6.25".  I used one of the new masks and inked through with Versamark and then heat embossed in clear powder.  I added a strip of the new Pick a Pattern washi tape and then started creating my die cuts.  The Eclectic Layers thinlits contains a die that creates a lovely geometric pattern left into the card but I used my paper snips to cut away the design and added the die cut as a border.  My sentiment was from the Lovely Words thinlits set and I cut three to layer up and give extra dimension.

I hope my card has inspired you to have a go at heat embossing - it is so much fun and takes no time at all.  Be sure to check back tomorrow for a new embossing technique.

Happy crafting,
Rachel x
