Petal Palette Watercolour Birthday

Hi Crafters,

It was my Mam's birthday at the end of February and today I'm sharing the card I made to celebrate.

I created a card blank using Berry Burst cardstock to really make the flower pop.  Taking a piece of Shimmery White cardstock, I heat embossed the floral image from the Petal Palette stamp set in clear embossing powder and then used an Aqua Painter to fill the images with Berry Burst and Old Olive ink.  My sentiment was cut from vellum using the Happy Birthday Thinlits Die and I finished the card off with some iridescent sequins.

You only have a couple of days left to take advantage of Sale-A-Bration.  For every £45 you spend, you can chose a free product.  If you have any questions, please send me an email and I'll get straight back to you.

Happy crafting,

Sweet Little Congratulations

Hi Crafters,

I have a second card for you today and this time I've gone super cute with the Sweet Little Something stamp set.  I paired this adorable bunny with the Amazing Congratulations stamp set, also from the Spring/Summer 2018 catalogue.

Sweet Little Something

Amazing Congratulations

The three-step stamping process for the bunny and sentiment was really easy using my new Stamparatus.  If you didn't manage to pre-order one of these amazing tools, you can purchase from 1 June when the new Annual Catalogue launches.  The Stamparatus is a must for every crafter.

I used the current sketch over at the Global Design Project as my inspiration.

I created a Perfect Plum card blank and layered up a piece of the Petal Garden Designer Series Paper in Sweet Sugarplum on top.  My embossed layer is Pink Pirouette and I used the Sparkle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder which is one of my all time favourites.  I stamped the bunny in Pink Pirouette, Sweet Sugarplum and Perfect Plum and actually did gasp when it worked first time!  Thank you Stamparatus!  I die cut the bunny using the largest of the Layering Oval Framelits and popped it up using Stampin' Dimensionals.

The sentiment was also stamped using the same colours with my Stamparatus and then I fussy cut around the outline which was actually pretty easy.  I'm not usually a fan of fussy cutting as I'm so particular but this was rather theraputic!  Maybe I'll become a fussy cutting fan after all!  To finish off, I added some 1/4" Copper Trim and tied a bow by hand.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenge:
Global Design Project 130 - Sketch Challenge

Pocketful of Sunshine

Hi Crafters,

I have a summery card today to welcome the warmer weather now that we are heading towards April.  Although, I think there is more snow on the way for the UK so wrap up warm and keep crafting!

I originally designed this card for a colour challenge being hosted by the Global Design Project but I decided to enter a completely different card and actually won a Top Three spot!  I am still pinching myself!

On to today's card and it really makes me think of Hawaii and it's glorious sunsets.  I was so lucky to visit in October 2016 and I would go back in a heartbeat.

My card blank is made from Whisper White cardstock, layered up Basic Black and Whisper White pieces on top.  I should have used some Shimmery White cardstock for my watercolour topper but I didn't really have a plan when I started so I used more Whisper White cardstock!  I put together various stamps from the Waterfront set to create a sunset scene, some with second generation stamping in Peekaboo Peach, Bermuda Bay and Sweet Sugarplum.  I added the sun rays from the Amazing You stamp set which is one of my favourites right now.  You can still earn it for free during March with a qualifying order.

I stamped the pocket in Archival Black in onto vellum using the Pocketful of Sunshine stamp set and then die cut with the co-ordinating framelit.  Finally I used clear embossing powder to stamp the sunglasses image before die-cutting.  I don't think the photo picks up the embossing though.  I'll add a boomerang video to my Instagram stories for you though.  Be sure to check that out later today.

There is still time to take advantage of Sale-A-Bration until the end of March and Stampin' Up! have added a bunch of great products to the selection which you can earn for free with each £45 spend.  Click the links to the right to view the 2nd Release catalogue and additional products.  Hurry - these offers expire on 31 March 2018!

Happy crafting,
