Sweet Little Congratulations

Hi Crafters,

I have a second card for you today and this time I've gone super cute with the Sweet Little Something stamp set.  I paired this adorable bunny with the Amazing Congratulations stamp set, also from the Spring/Summer 2018 catalogue.

Sweet Little Something

Amazing Congratulations

The three-step stamping process for the bunny and sentiment was really easy using my new Stamparatus.  If you didn't manage to pre-order one of these amazing tools, you can purchase from 1 June when the new Annual Catalogue launches.  The Stamparatus is a must for every crafter.

I used the current sketch over at the Global Design Project as my inspiration.

I created a Perfect Plum card blank and layered up a piece of the Petal Garden Designer Series Paper in Sweet Sugarplum on top.  My embossed layer is Pink Pirouette and I used the Sparkle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder which is one of my all time favourites.  I stamped the bunny in Pink Pirouette, Sweet Sugarplum and Perfect Plum and actually did gasp when it worked first time!  Thank you Stamparatus!  I die cut the bunny using the largest of the Layering Oval Framelits and popped it up using Stampin' Dimensionals.

The sentiment was also stamped using the same colours with my Stamparatus and then I fussy cut around the outline which was actually pretty easy.  I'm not usually a fan of fussy cutting as I'm so particular but this was rather theraputic!  Maybe I'll become a fussy cutting fan after all!  To finish off, I added some 1/4" Copper Trim and tied a bow by hand.

Cake Crazy!

Hi Crafters,

I am back with a card for my Mum's birthday and I've gone cake crazy.  Last year I attempted to make a three tier edible cake but it was a disaster!  So this year, I'm playing it safe and have made a stamped version!

I used the current challenge over at Global Design Project as the inspiration for my layout.  This week's challenge theme is CASEING the designer and Kylie Bertucci has a great card to spark your creativity.

Here is a close-up of that crazy cake.

I loved laying up the different images and they line up so easily as the stamps are photopolymer and see-through.  Do you have any crazy cake stories to share?  As always, the full supply list is at the bottom of the post.

If you haven't taken advantage of the Sale-A-Bration benefits yet, you only have one month left.  Make sure to place your order soon.

Happy crafting,

Hooray - New Sale-A-Bration Items!

Hi Crafters,

I am so excited to share one of the new Sale-A-Bration products from Stampin' Up!  Three new products were released on 21 February but you only have until 31 March to take advantage of the great Sale-A-Bration benefits.

I chose to use the new Reverse Words stamp set which contains two great sentiment stamps with a watercolour effect.  I teamed this with some embossed cardstock and vellum butterflies.

I used second generation ink in Daffodil Delight for the main image topper and then tore around the edge and inked in Perfect Plum with a sponge dauber.  Once the ink was dry, I traced the letters with my clear Wink of Stella to add a bit of sparkle.  The vellum butterflies were the perfect finishing touch.

I hope you can see the sparkle from the Wink of Stella in this picture - it's so hard to photograph!  As always, a full supply list can be found at the end of this post.

Be sure to check out all three of the new Sale-A-Bration products which you can receive for free with a qualifying order of £45.

Happy crafting,
Rachel x
