Festive Sunday Inspiration Week 6 - Holly Jolly

Hi crafters,

Today is the next installment in my Festive Sunday Inspiration series.  There is still time to catch up though, take a look back at the first post.  I will be bringing you a post every Sunday until 29 November featuring festive projects to spark your creativity.  Projects will feature Stampin' Up! products from the August-December 2020 Mini Catalogue and the Annual Catalogue, using a variety of techniques.  If you would like to purchase any of the products for yourself, please visit my online shop which is open 24/7.

The focus of this week's card is the Wonder of the Season Memories and More Card Pack.  This collection contains 48 printed cards including 12 with gold foil accents and 8 sticker sheets.  These are perfect for quick cards or for make a keepsake memory album.

I chose one of the 4" x 6" cards for my background and covered this with a panel of vellum.  I found a co-ordinating card featuring a large holly design and fussy cut one to layer on top of a full card.  I used lots of Stampin' Dimensionals to achieve interest and texture with the holly.  I added die cut letters from the Playful Alphabet set in Whisper White cardstock and then used the Clear Wink of Stella pen to coat the letters and holly berries with sparkle glitter.

Who will you send some holly jolliness to this festive season?  Stay tuned for the next instalment in a week's time.  It's sure to get you in the festive spirit.

Happy crafting,

Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop - Flowers and Leaves

Hi Crafters,

The Global Stamping Friends are teaming up on another great blog hop and this month's theme is Flowers and Leaves.

Stampin' Up! have a fabulous selection of floral products - it was so hard to choose which one to use!  I settled on the Layered Leaves 3D embossing folder and some gorgeous DSP from the Share What You Love Suite.  This paper is super thick and the designs are beautiful.  I ended up making a set of three cards which are the same but different!

I actually started by making the card on the right and then the others followed quickly.  I embossed a Note Card with the Layered Leaves 3D embossing folder and then applied a piece of the beautiful Share What You Love Specialty DSP at a jaunty angle.  I like to call this design the tablecloth card!  I die cut my sentiments (hooray, thanks and miss you) using Whisper White cardstock from the Well Written Dies and adhered three layers together for extra dimension.  I thought about using a different colour for the centre card but decided to stick to the Whisper White in the end.  I did add a coat of Wink of Stella to the sentiments which doesn't show up well in photos.  I finished off with some of the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls in Rich Razzleberry which features in all three of the DSP pieces.  Here are the cards in more detail individually.

I hope you like my no-stamping examples!  It has only just occurred to me that there is no stamping!  Maybe that's a good excuse to get inky soon!  To keep hopping just click the image below to head to Anastasia's wonderful creation.  If you get lost, there is a roll call below too.

Happy crafting,

A Little Hello from Stampin' Up!

Hi Crafters,

I hope this post finds you well.  I'm back into study mode now that the new college year has begun but I'm determined to keep crafting!  It will certainly reduce my stress levels!

I have a Memories & More card today.  The Tea Room Memories & More card pack contains 50 double-sided cards, 6 single-sided foiled cards and 4 sticker sheets.  The versatility and quantity mean that you can make so many different cards with just one pack.  These packs are also great for quick makes.

My card blank is made from Night of Navy cardstock and was actually left over from another project.   I used Coastal Cabana cardstock with the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch to create some interest and tied this into the sentiment by using the same colour of ink.  I cut out my sentiment with the Bunch of Banners Framelits Dies.

The Calypso Coral portion of the card is a single card from the Tea Room Memories & More card pack.  To create the focal image I began by cutting the edges of the butterfly wings with a craft knife and then added Wink of Stella in clear to really make them sparkle.

I hope you'll be inspired to try some Memories & More for cardmaking.  These card packs are also great for quick scrapbooking projects.  Stay tuned for more!

Happy crafting,

Share What You Love with Stampin' Up!'s Specialty DSP

Hi Crafters,

I have a super simple card for you today which showcases the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP).  I am seriously head over heels for this paper.  The designs are really versatile and the colour palette sings to me too.

I started by making an A5 cardblank on my Simply Scored board using Whisper White cardstock and then cut another strip of Whisper White to layer my DSP on top.  I used Rich Razzleberry cardstock for my sentiment and then covered with a layer of clear Wink of Stella.  This really glistens in real life.

I really love the extra details of the foiling in this collection and the designs are just lovely.  Do you have a favourite DSP from the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue?  If you do, you could get it for free by purchasing three packs of paper.

Please note that the Share What You Love Specialty DSP is not included in this offer.  However, there are plenty of other beautiful collections to add to your crafting supplies.  Simply click on the image above to start shopping now but be quick as this offer expires on Tuesday 31 July.

Happy crafting,
Rachel x
