Vine Design Thanks from Stampin' Up!

Hi crafters,

It's been a hot minute since I last posted!  I have been creating but haven't got around to sharing all that much.  I have a die cut card to share today using the Flowering Vine Dies which are part of the Vine Design bundle.  Each bundle in any of the Stampin' Up! catalogues offer a 10% saving.  The stamps and dies are also available individually too.

I love the intricate dies in this bundle and the sentiment stamps are great for a variety of occasions.  I just used the dies today but I have plans for a stamped project soon so stay tuned.

I made a side-folding card base using Thick Basic White A4 cardstock.  I cut the main rectangle die from Night of Navy cardstock and then I used Petal Pink cardstock to fill in the design for a die cut inlay look.  I used the thanks die from the Well Written Dies and cut this four times - three from Basic White cardstock and once from Silver Foil Paper.  It doesn't show up well in the photo however.  I used Liquid Multipurpose Glue to adhere all these die cut pieces.  You could also add some bling but I decided to leave it off this time.

It's an exciting time to be a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator as this week is the pre-order for the new Annual Catalogue opens on Thursday 1 April.  If you would like to join the Stampin' Up! family, all the details are over at my store under the Join tab.

Happy crafting,

Festive Sunday Inspiration Week 15 - Brightly Gleaming Plaid

Hi crafters,

It's time for the penultimate installment in my Festive Sunday Inspiration series.  You can still catch up on the previous posts, take a look back at the first post.  I will be bringing you a post every Sunday until 29 November featuring festive projects to spark your creativity.  Projects will feature Stampin' Up! products from the August-December 2020 Mini Catalogue and the Annual Catalogue, using a variety of techniques.  If you would like to purchase any of the products for yourself, please visit my online shop which is open 24/7.

I really love how this week's card turned out and seriously considered giving this one to my parents for Christmas but their card is coming up next week!  I used minimal products for this card but it really has a wow factor from the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper.

I made a card base with Very Vanilla cardstock and then cut the Brightly Gleaming Specialty DSP and Copper Foil Sheets using the Best Plaid Builder Dies.  I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the die cut pieces. I stamped and die cut the bright sentiment from the Peace & Joy bundle using Very Vanilla cardstock and Night of Navy ink.  I layered up a Copper Foil Sheet die cut on top.  I also stamped the smaller portion of the sentiment in Night of Navy ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock and trimmed out with my mini guillotine.

I can hardly believe we are nearly at the end of the Festive Sunday Inspiration Series.  I would love to know your favourite Christmas memory.  Mine includes baking, Jim Reeves and lots of snow!

Happy crafting,

We Fall In... Colours Blog Hop for August 2020

Hi crafters,

I'm hopping again and this time it's the turn of the We Fall In... Colours team.  We are an international group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who love to share our passion for creativity through colour.  If you've come from Diana's post you are on the right track.  There is a full list of participants at the end of this post.

This month we are showcasing projects made using Night of Navy, Mossy Meadow and Mint Macaron.  I really wasn't sure what theme to pair with this colour combo as there were so many possibilities but I love how my card turned out using the Wreath Builder Dies.

I started with a panel of Whisper White cardstock and the dotty mask from the Basic Patterns Decorative Masks.  I first inked through with Mint Macaron and then shifted the mask so that the open spaces lined up between the inked dots.  I inked again in Night of Navy, adding some lighter and darker patches to create interest.  I used the Wreath Builder dies to create the focal element.  I used one of the wreath dies to cut from Mossy Meadow and Mint Macaron cardstocks and then offset these using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I didn't adhere all the leaves so that they would create texture.  I made three flowers from two layers Night of Navy cardstock cut from one of the flower dies from the Wreath Builder set.  I folded each petal around the shaft of my pokey tool from the Take Your Pick Tool and then added pearls in the centre to finish.  I stamped the sentiment from the Lovely You stamp set and used the matching Lovely Labels Pick a Punch to create a label, adding a layer of Night of Navy cardstock behind.  I used Stampin' Dimensionals behind the sentiment label to pop it up on the front of the card.

I hope you are enjoying our colours for this month and have found inspiration in our posts.  Don't forget to leave a comment so we know you've visited.  To keep hopping, click the next button below to head to Petra's post.

Hopping Around the World Blog Hop - Flowers

Hi Crafters,

I'm back for another Hopping Around the World Blog Hop.  We are an international group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who share inspiration on the last weekend of every month.  This month our theme is Flowers.  Be prepared to feel the flower power as you hop along with us and if you've come from Rebecca-Jo's blog, you are on the right track!

Just before my niece was born I had an overwhelming feeling that she would be a girl (nobody knew the gender) and her name would be a flower but I didn't know that both of those would come true!  Poppy was born in 2015 and she is the light of my life!  Anyway, the reason for my story is to introduce the Painted Poppies Suite.  I was absolutely delighted when I first saw this suite in the Stampin' Up! January-June 2020 Mini Catalogue.

I started by created the poppies using the Poppy Moments dies and some scraps of watercolour paper that had been used to dab up excess Melon Mambo Pigment Sprinkles.  I then cut the layers in Pumpkin Pie and Night of Navy for a contrasting look.  I added the leaves in Mossy Meadow to complete the bouquet.  The background was created using the Handwritten Background stamp which is stamped in Night of Navy ink.  I used the Stamparatus as this is a large stamp and I wanted a really good impression and stamping the image several times in the same place is really easy with the Stamparatus.  I haven't added a sentiment yet as I'm still undecided on the occasion but I think this would fit for multiple celebrations.

Okay, how about a bonus card?!  I had some leftover die cuts and I didn't want to add to my ever growing pile so I put this super simple card together using only die cuts - no stamping!

The card blank is made from Basic Black cardstock and then I adhered a Whisper White border die cut from the Delicate Lace dies.  I created the poppy using the Poppy Moments dies in Poppy Parade cardstock.  I added a layer of Wink of Stella glitter to the outline layer of the poppy.  The sentiment was cut three times from Whisper White cardstock and then once from Silver Foil and comes from the Well Written dies.

I hope you are enjoying your hopping journey featuring our flower makes.  To keep hopping, head to Jennifer's brilliant creation next.  If you get lost there is a full list of the blog hop participants below.

Happy crafting,

Rachel x
