Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop - Birthday Celebrations

Hi Crafters,

The Global Stamping Friends are hopping again and this month we are celebrating all things birthday!  We are an international group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators that love nothing more than sharing our passion for crafting.

Stampin' Up! has so many great birthday products, it was really hard to choose.  I was able to pre-order the Magnolia Lane suite and it is beautiful.  The colours are so elegant and the designs are suitable for so many occasions.  I opted to use the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set, Magnolia Lane Memories and More card pack and the co-ordinating cards and envelopes.

I started with the Magnolia Lane Large Specialty Memories and More Cards & Envelopes which contain 20 foiled card bases and envelopes, with inserts.  I actually covered up the foiling in this design but it there are plenty more cards in the pack to show off this great feature.  I added a Magnolia Lane Memories & More card from the Card Pack and this was wrapped with the Braided Linen Trim.

To create the centre panel I used Whisper White cardstock and stamped the sentiment from the Bloom and Grown stamp set in Mint Macaron and then stamped the small magnolia image from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set in Crumb Cake.  I coloured the images with my Stampin' Blends in Petal Pink and Mint Macaron.  I raised this panel up using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I hope you are enjoying the hop so far.  There is plenty more inspiration to come and to keep hopping, simply click the arrow below to head to the very talented Tricia's blog.

Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop - Memories and More

Hi Crafters,

I'm back with another Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop and this month we are showcasing the Memories & More products from Stampin' Up!.

I've gone out of my comfort zone and made a scrapbook page.  I have done scrapbooking in the past but have neglected it more recently.  The Delightfully Detailed Memories & More card pack features 50 double-sided cards in two sizes.

I found an adorable picture of my niece, Poppy, that was perfect for my project and whipped this page up in less than an hour.  It is pretty simple but I'm pleased with the finished result and plan to give this as a gift to my Mum and Dad.

I started with a piece of Whisper White cardstock cut to 8.25" and matted an 8" piece of Crumb Cake on top.  I used the Delightfully Detailed Memories & More card pack to create accents around my main image which was layered with Whisper White cardstock.  I've stamped a sentiment in Rich Razzleberry from the new Well Said stamp set and added Poppy's name and age in my own handwriting on the left.  I used the striped stamp from the Incredible Like You stamp set to add the accents to the top and bottom edges.  I used Tear and Tape to secure my photo to the Whisper White cardstock and Liquid Multipurpose Glue for the remainder.  The shadow box frame is not a Stampin' Up! item.

I hope you'll make memories with us on our Memories & More Blog Hop!  To keep hopping and head to Lisa's project, simply click the Next arrow below.

Don't forget that you can earn free products during Sale-A-Bration.  I've listed all the supplies used down below so you can easily shop my make.

A Little Hello from Stampin' Up!

Hi Crafters,

I hope this post finds you well.  I'm back into study mode now that the new college year has begun but I'm determined to keep crafting!  It will certainly reduce my stress levels!

I have a Memories & More card today.  The Tea Room Memories & More card pack contains 50 double-sided cards, 6 single-sided foiled cards and 4 sticker sheets.  The versatility and quantity mean that you can make so many different cards with just one pack.  These packs are also great for quick makes.

My card blank is made from Night of Navy cardstock and was actually left over from another project.   I used Coastal Cabana cardstock with the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch to create some interest and tied this into the sentiment by using the same colour of ink.  I cut out my sentiment with the Bunch of Banners Framelits Dies.

The Calypso Coral portion of the card is a single card from the Tea Room Memories & More card pack.  To create the focal image I began by cutting the edges of the butterfly wings with a craft knife and then added Wink of Stella in clear to really make them sparkle.

I hope you'll be inspired to try some Memories & More for cardmaking.  These card packs are also great for quick scrapbooking projects.  Stay tuned for more!

Happy crafting,

Thank You Cards and Gifts

Hi Crafters,

Today's project was one that had me burning the midnight oil!  I had so many ideas for thank you gifts for the staff at my placement (Early Years Department) that I really couldn't decide on one.  However, I was pleased with how these cards and gifts turned out.  The theme this week over at Global Design Project is School Days and this fits perfectly.

I created five cards with matching keyrings.  The gingerbread charms are retired but The Gingerbread Man was the story of the term so I thought it made for a fitting gift.

I created card blanks in Mint Macaron and Rich Razzleberry cardstock, running the fronts through the Scattered Sequins Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  This is a great design if you just need a simple something for the background.  I added a card from the Delightfully Detailed Memories & More Card Pack to each background only adhering on the left and bottom so that I could slot the keyring over the top right corner.  I cut a Thank You sentiment from the Thank You Thinlits Die in Smoky Slate cardstock and covered this with Wink of Stella for sparkle.  The keyrings were created from headpins covered in beads and a gingerbread man charm.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenge:
Global Design Project #155 - School Days
