I have a brand new technique for you today and I was inspired by the sketch challenge over on the Global Design Project. I really struggled for a layout for this image but as soon as I saw the sketch, it just clicked into place.
I used the leaf stamp from the Remarkable You stamp set.
I love the big images in this set and I am so thankful it is carrying over to the new catalogue. I decided to try the wet on wet watercolouring technique and after a little practice I ended up with an image I was happy to use.
I used a fourth generation image to give me the faint outline of the stamp. I added water to each leaf individually, and then using a damp paintbrush loaded with reinker, I lightly tapped the colour into the water. Once dry, it appears as a watercoloured image.
To create the trellis design on my Crumb Cake cardstock, I scored diagonally in quarter inch increments, flipped the card around and scored again. My greeting is cut in vellum and appears to jump off the page by only adhering the centre.
A full list of the ingredients is listed at the end of this post. Be sure to check back soon for my first ever YouTube video!
I would like to enter this card into the following challenge:

Beautiful Rachel! Your watercolour leaf sprig is so wonderfully done. All the other elements are the perfect foil for the leaf. Really lovely! Thanks for playing along with us at Global Design Project Sketch Challenge this week.
