I am joining the Global Stamping Friends on their ninth blog hop today. Yes, I'm late to the party but can't wait to see all the fun we'll have on our hop! Be sure to check in with all the blogs and let us know you've visited by leaving a comment. We love hearing from you.
Our theme this month is Sorry You're Leaving, as we are saying a fond farewell to those Stampin' Up! items we love but that won't be returning with the new catalogue launch in June. I have several favourites that I am sad to see go but it was an easy choice when it came to the products I'll miss most. Of course, I'm talking about the Bitty Butterfly Punch, Elegant Butterfly Punch and Papillon Potpourri stamp set. I have also used the outgoing 2015-17 In-Colours in my design, focusing on my three favourites - Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe and Watermelon Wonder.
I used Watermelon Wonder cardstock for my base and created my focal image on Whisper White cardstock. I actually used an old reel of ribbon to draw a faint circle to help place my butterflies. My sentiment came from the Everyday Tags stamp set and is stamped in Mint Macaron. I chose this set as, although I have used the butterflies on several different projects, the Everyday Tags stamp set had never been inked. You could easily create this card for several different occasions, changing the sentiment or colour combo each time.
I also used the Envelop Punch Board (not retiring) to create a matching envelope from a sheet of the 2015-17 In-Colour Envelope Paper which won't be available after 31 May.
I hope you'll join us saying goodbye to our favourites and check out our posts throughout the blog hop. Which products will you miss most?
Happy Crafting,
