Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop - Stitched

Hi Crafters,

I'm participating in the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop today and our theme this month is Stitched.  We are a group of international Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who bring you crafty inspiration every month.  If you've come from Amanda's fab post, you are on the right track.  A full list of the blog hop participants is shown below in case you get lost along the way.

The stitched theme has so many possibilities and I've combined some beautiful dies to create my project.

I started with a panel of Whisper White cardstock and ink blended Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry inks to create a sunset background.  This is my favourite combination when my mojo decides to have a holiday!  I ran the panel through my die cutting machine using the Stitched Lace die and was so pleased with the result.  This die cut can be tricky to remove from the die so I recommend using a panel of cardstock larger than the die.  The flat spatula included in the Take Your Pick Took is also great for levering the cardstock panel from the die.

I stamped a sentiment in Rich Razzleberry from the So Sentimental bundle and used the co-ordinating dies to cut this out.  This is a great versatile bundle for any craft room which includes 11 stamps and the 10 co-ordinating dies all have stitched details.  I used the Small Blooms Punch to create my flowers from Pumpkin Pie cardstock.  I felt the centre needed something extra so I used the waste circle from the tag topper die from the Perfect Parcels dies and glued to the centre. I added a layer of Wink of Stella to finish the look, securing my sentiment and flowers with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I hope you're inspired to give your projects the stitched look.  To keep hopping, head to Jan's brilliant post next.

Happy crafting,
Rachel x
