Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlights - September 2019

Hi Crafters,

I'm super excited to be taking part in Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlights this month.  The theme is encouragement and I've made a thank you card for my entry.

I created a stamped background panel using the baby wipe technique with the Parcels and Petals stamp set.  I used Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo and Blushing Bride reinkers.  I added the panel to a Whisper White card base and topped with a strip of Silver Glimmer Paper.  The letters were die cut from Rich Razzleberry cardstock using the Hand-Lettered Prose Dies.  I've been using these dies a lot lately as the font is so elegant and I can personalise any project.

If you would like to vote for my entry (Number 41), please click on the photo below.

The top 10 entries will participate in a blog hop later this month.  I would love to join in and I really appreciate your time.

Happy crafting,
Rachel

Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop - Trees and Wood

Hi Crafters,

The Global Stamping Friends are hopping again and this month's theme is Trees and Wood.  This is right in my comfort zone!  My dad is a wood aficionado!  He makes wooden bowls, spurtles and more.

There are so many great trees and wood products available from Stampin' Up!  I chose to use the Silhouette Scenes bundle and the Pinewood Planks 3D Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

I started with a piece of Shimmery White cardstock and used Rich Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie and Mango Melody inks applied with a Stampin Sponge Brayer.  The sponge brayers are really easy to use and give great ink coverage.  I added some drops of water by spraying a Stampin' Spritzer into the palm of my hand and flicking the water onto the cardstock.  I patted the excess away with some kitchen roll.  I cut two trees - one in Whisper White and one in Crumb Cake.  I embossed the Crumb Cake die cut with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder.  It hasn't shown up well in the photo but this is a 3D folder so the impression really stands out in real life.  I offset the trees to make them pop.  Finally I heat embossed my image and sentiment in Copper Stampin' Embossing Powder using Versamark ink and a heat tool.  I will never get bored of heat embossing!

I hope you'll keep hopping with us on our journey with Trees and Wood.  I can't wait to see everyone else's take on this theme.  Click the next image below to keep hopping to June's wonderful creation.

Until next time, happy crafting

Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop - Birthday Celebrations

Hi Crafters,

The Global Stamping Friends are hopping again and this month we are celebrating all things birthday!  We are an international group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators that love nothing more than sharing our passion for crafting.

Stampin' Up! has so many great birthday products, it was really hard to choose.  I was able to pre-order the Magnolia Lane suite and it is beautiful.  The colours are so elegant and the designs are suitable for so many occasions.  I opted to use the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set, Magnolia Lane Memories and More card pack and the co-ordinating cards and envelopes.

I started with the Magnolia Lane Large Specialty Memories and More Cards & Envelopes which contain 20 foiled card bases and envelopes, with inserts.  I actually covered up the foiling in this design but it there are plenty more cards in the pack to show off this great feature.  I added a Magnolia Lane Memories & More card from the Card Pack and this was wrapped with the Braided Linen Trim.

To create the centre panel I used Whisper White cardstock and stamped the sentiment from the Bloom and Grown stamp set in Mint Macaron and then stamped the small magnolia image from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set in Crumb Cake.  I coloured the images with my Stampin' Blends in Petal Pink and Mint Macaron.  I raised this panel up using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I hope you are enjoying the hop so far.  There is plenty more inspiration to come and to keep hopping, simply click the arrow below to head to the very talented Tricia's blog.

Happy crafting,
Rachel x
