Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop - Brand New

Hi crafters,

It's the first Friday of the month and that means a Global Stamping Friends blog hop.  We are a group of international Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who love to share our passion for creativity through our monthly hops.  I'm one of the European demos, based in the UK.  This month's theme is Brand New We are sharing projects using brand new products from the Stampin' Up! 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue.  Be prepared to be wowed!  If you've come from Jan's amazing post, you are on the right track.  There is also a full list of participants at the end of this post.

I was spoiled for choice with this theme as Demonstrators were able to pre-order new products from the Annual Catalogue 2021-22 in early April.  In the end, I didn't like any of my ideas!  So I went back to basics and tried some simple stamping featuring the new Party Puffins stamp set.

Those cute puffins had my heart from the start because we have many on the coastline of Shetland.  We call them Tammy Norries.

I started with a standard half sheet of A4 Thick Basic White cardstock scored in half.  I added a faint haze of Pacific Point ink using a Blending Brush and then stamped the sentiment on top with Daffodil Delight ink.  I stamped the puffin in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then coloured with Stampin' Blends in Mango Melody, Pumpkin Pie, Highland Heather, Balmy Blue and Shaded Spruce.  After fussy cutting, I popped the puffin up on a double layer of Stampin' Dimensionals.

I hope you are enjoying the hop so far and I can't wait to see what everyone has created too.  The next blog post is brought to you by the talented Tricia Butts - click the next arrow below to hop on over.

Happy crafting, Rachel x
