Hi crafters,
It's the first Friday of the month and that means a Global Stamping Friends blog hop. We are a group of international Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who love to share our passion for creativity through our monthly hops. This month's theme is Garden Inspiration! If you have come from Marieke's brilliant post, you are on the right track. There is also a full list of participants at the end of this post.
I really wanted to use the new Wild Roses Background Stamp which features an allover floral pattern. I created four cards by stamping the Wild Roses Background Stamp onto each of the matching colours of DSP in the Oh So Ombre paper pack. This is a Sale-A-Bration item which can be earned for free with an order of £45 or more until the end of February 2021. I'm really loving the plain side of this DSP but there is also a great dotty pattern too. Here is the beautiful Wild Roses Background Stamp image in all its glory!
The first card used the Granny Apple Green Oh So Ombre DSP stamped with the Wild Roses Background Stamp in Granny Apple Green ink. The Sweet Strawberry bundle seemed like the perfect accompaniment. I stamped the strawberry images in Poppy Parade using both first and second generation stamping to achieve different tones. I used the co-ordinating Strawberry Punch and also added a pop of Granny Apple Green for the stalks. I drew the shading on these before realising that there is a co-ordinating stamp in the Sweet Strawberry stamp set. I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set in Poppy Parade ink.
The second card features the Bermuda Bay Oh So Ombre DSP stamped with the Wild Roses stamp set in Bermuda Bay. I kept this design fairly simple by adding a few Silver Foil butterflies from the Butterfly Beauty Dies. I stamped the sentiment from the Tasteful Touches stamp set in Bermuda Bay ink and then used the Stitched Shapes Dies to cut it from white cardstock. I added the die cut with Stampin' Dimensionals.
The last card in the set is a little more of a diversion from the theme! I paired the Rococo Rose background with some white heat embossing from the Tasteful Touches stamp set. I stamped and coloured one of the images from the Hey Girlfriend stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and Stampin' Blends. I used colours in Bermuda Bay, Rich Razzleberry, Ivory, Soft Suede, Petal Pink and Mango Melody. I fussy cut the image and then mounted with Stampin' Dimensionals. To finish off I used the Well Written Dies and Bermuda Bay cardstock for the sentiment.
And here are all the cards together - I really had fun coming with four different designs using the same background.

Wow, I love that background stamp on the Oh So Ombre paper! I was afraid to stamp on that paper because it almost feels like it's a little slick. I wasn't sure the ink would dry...but it looks like it does! Great idea, thanks for sharing :-D
ReplyDeleteOh I love this! I’m probably going to have to buy this background stamp now. Thanks! 😍
ReplyDeleteThese are all lovely, Rachel! I think I need to go shopping again. That background stamp is calling to me.
ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous! Didn't realize the stamp was that pretty
